You put the suit on first because it makes you look rom-com, powerhouse, high-heeled sexy and you walk around pretending to be one of those ladies. Some time after that, you wake up to realize you fit in your own skin, and the suit is just another outfit. Like my overalls on the weekend, but more expensive to clean. I wish I lived close enough so WE could go suit shopping.CoreyElizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03770781826597515519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7626821433561478575.post-77389421590449559502012-01-10T04:43:05.362-08:002012-01-10T04:43:05.362-08:00I have to say that getting ready for graduation an...I have to say that getting ready for graduation and the transition to "adulthood" (and looking back, really, you're already there when the time comes) is in the top five list of Scariest Things that have Ever Happened in my Life. It's like slapsgiving - you know that it's coming and that it's going to be scary, but when it gets there, it's not so bad, and actually kind of awesome most of the time. It's the anticipation of this big bad transition that is the worst. It doesn't help that when people know you're in college, they're all "PSSH. WAIT UNTIL YOU GET TO THE -REAL- WORLD." and in all actuality, it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. :) I will second that you don't have to give up what you love...you CAN follow your bliss, it just takes different shape when you don't have college anymore to focus on it all the time. (And I have to say that even at 31, seven years out of college, that stuff is STILL fun. That doesn't go away either. Really, you just add to the list of fun things that are already there.)Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12289881732875399458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7626821433561478575.post-11323044926726176942012-01-09T23:33:15.583-08:002012-01-09T23:33:15.583-08:00You don’t have to give up what you love, it will a...You don’t have to give up what you love, it will always be a part of you. The 2am worm daces will always be a part of you. But like you said the big picture is scary. In fact, the whole point of going to college is to get that suit, heals and the big paying career right? But, I believe in the end what’s more important is family, fun, friends and the memories created. That’s what we take with us. We could have the best career and all the money in the world, but without that it is all a waste. So go 2am worm dances! And 2am blog posting!
